Mark It wasn’t clear to me what you mentioned you are doing for measuring the lengths of the mast standing rigging. Basically you need can only measure the length of the stays from a ‘true plane’ view, which you do not have. Using the mast height only works if the attachment point at the bottom of line is horizontally in the same plane as the bottom of the mast. If your attachment is 15 cm lower than the bottom of the mast it needs to be factored into the calculations. You are making a right angle triangle with lengths A, B and C. Length C is the hypotenuse which is your stay length. The top view gives you the short length of the base of the triangle. From the side view draw a horizontal line at the upper and lower attach points. The distance between the top and bottom horizontal lines is the height of the tall side of the triangle. The short and long sides are at 90 degrees. The equation A^2 + B^2 = C^2. This gives you the total length from the stay including the attachment points and hardware. Subtract the hardware and tensioning loop thingy for the length of the dynema. If this is what you said great and sorry for the post. Nice to watch your videos. I’ve been changing holding tank lines on my boat so I need a pleasant break and watching your vids fits the need. Thanks.

There's a solution for your matress. It's specifically for vans and boats. I'ts kind of a wirey mat kind of thing you place under your matress in stead of slats. I use it personally because i had the same problem and im really happy about the results!!! It's called an anti-condens mat and you can order it quite easily in NL for about 50 euros. Good luck mate keep on rocking!!!

Overcharging a battery is a matter of voltage regulator, NOT a bad cable as far as I know, a voltage regulator limits the voltage that goes to the battery, current follows voltage -> more voltage = more current, a voltage regulator makes sure the battery never gets a voltage that the battery can't 'handle'.

Kudos for the stuff you are undertaking. Dyneema is new to me but it looks like you got the hang of it. Also, you are doing so well with working with stainless under less than ideal shop conditions. I have never had the success you are having with all that drilling and cutting. Well Done.

Bonjour, you can use Google traduction. Bonne continuation.

Are you planning on adding mast steps ? Very handy when solo sailing! I've done it after seeing White spot pirate video about it and also followed Sailing Britaly tips. I used aluminum profile 40mm wide and 4mm thick, had them pre cut at 430mm length, 26 steps, bend them myself, glued with 5200 equivalent and 4 rivets each. Just be very careful of shroud angles to not have them jn the way (I had to cut one step because of that). Currently sailing north, will probably make a stop in Amsterdam, I could show you :-) Anyway, you're doing great ! Can't wait to see Pahi sailing 🤘

Generally it was a good idea to go for a Dyneema standing rigging because it is DIY friendly and got superior properties over stainless steel. Dyneema is best cut using a special scissor (~40 €) or a ceramic knife (~5 €). So far your preparing of the mast looks good to me. I installed a solent stay on my Selden mast two years ago and did some research iot make it alright, mast is still standing;-) . Depending on your budget Colligo Marine from USA is manufacturing quite a number of special dyneema fittings. Also I would go for Wichard from France for all the shackles and stuff like that. Best you can buy.

Stick with 8mm . Welding work hardens the material, as you found out with your snapped Cobalt drill... Besides those welds will introduce crevice corrosion in a place which is quite tiring to inspect while working alone! Meaning you will almost never inspect it in practice.

Groovy Learn to sharpen your drill bits and go slow speed high pressure/ good pressure, pulse the drill with breaks to let the bit cool when drilling stainless. Engineers will disagree but I tell you it works very well for keeping your bit sharp , sikaflex under those plates on the mast .the double plate tangs ate better
